Biggest blockbuster game of the year “Halo: Reach” launches September 14, 2010
Auckland, New Zealand – May 25, 2010 – One of the most anticipated games of the year is making its worldwide debut this September. “Halo: Reach,” the blockbuster prequel to the best-selling video game franchise and hailed as the No. 1 game series of all time,1 will leave its mark on the entertainment landscape when it launches worldwide, starting September 14, 2010.
Fable 3 coming to PC
Microsoft has announced that its developer studio, Lionhead, will produce the third Fable title this year for PC as well as Xbox 360.
The game will only be available for digital download via Games on Demand - the Games for Windows Live service - and be priced at £39.99($85.00).
Meanwhile the publisher has also detailed the price points for the Standard and Limited Collector's Edition of the game on Xbox 360, coming in at £49.99 ($100.00) and £59.99 ($125.00) respectively.
The Limited Collector's Edition will include an additional quest to complete, a new in-game location and outfit, as well as a new dog breed, some playing cards and a coin.
While the game has not been given a specific release date, it is expected to be launched in time for Christmas this year.
Google Celebrate PacMan's 30th anniversary
Google has taken the opportunity to honour the 30th anniversary of PacMan's launch this weekend by transforming its search front page into a fully playable PacMan doodle.
The search giant has frequently changed its front page logo to represent various special occasions in the past few years, but this is the first time a doodle will be playable with full sound.
The game - now live - also includes all 256 levels of the original game, which will be freely available for a 48-hour period.
